Privacy Policy
ebiTV+ · Last updated: 19 August 2026
ebiTV+ ("the app", "we", "us") is a media player — available on LG webOS TVs and Android/Android TV — that plays live TV, movies and series from a playlist or subscription that you provide (Xtream Codes or M3U). This policy explains what data the app processes and why. We keep data collection to the minimum required to operate the service. We do not store, host or have access to any of the video/stream content you watch.
1. Information we process
- Device identifier — a value derived from your device's built-in ID (webOS LGUDID) or a randomly generated identifier (Android), stored as a hashed identifier. It is used only to recognise your device, manage your subscription/trial and secure the service.
- Google Account (Android only) — if you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account's unique ID and email address from Google, used solely to authenticate you and link your subscription/panels to your account. We do not receive your Google password.
- Purchase information (Android only) — if you subscribe via Google Play Billing, Google shares the purchase/subscription status and a purchase token with us so we can activate your plan. Google — not us — processes your payment method and billing details; we never see or store your card information.
- Technical data — device model, app version and IP address (used transiently for rate-limiting and abuse prevention).
- Subscription status — whether your device/account is on a trial, active or expired plan, and the related expiry date.
- Your playlist credentials — if you add an Xtream Codes or M3U list, the server credentials you enter are transmitted and stored in encrypted form solely to fetch and refresh your own catalogue on your behalf. A short-lived cache of your catalogue's metadata (titles, categories, poster links, program info — never the video/stream itself) is kept temporarily to make search and browsing fast.
- App preferences — settings, favourites and recently-watched items are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded.
We do not collect your name, precise location, contacts, or any special-category personal data through the app. We do not show third-party advertising and we do not use advertising trackers.
2. How we use it
- To provide the core service: authenticate your device/account, manage trials/subscriptions and load your catalogue.
- To improve reliability and prevent abuse (rate-limiting, error diagnostics).
3. Third-party services
- The Movie Database (TMDB) — to enrich movies/series with posters, cast and descriptions, non-personal metadata such as titles or search terms may be sent to TMDB. See TMDB's privacy policy at themoviedb.org/privacy-policy. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
- Google (Sign-In & Play Billing, Android only) — used for account sign-in and to process subscription payments. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Cloudflare — our backend runs on Cloudflare's platform, which processes requests as our infrastructure provider.
- Your IPTV provider — content is delivered directly by the provider whose playlist/subscription you supply; your use of that content is governed by that provider.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Data retention
Device and subscription records are kept while your device uses the service and are removed on request or after prolonged inactivity. The short-lived catalogue metadata cache described above is refreshed periodically and is not a permanent archive. Locally stored data (preferences, favourites, cache) can be cleared at any time from the app's settings or by uninstalling the app.
5. Security
Playlist credentials are encrypted, traffic is served over HTTPS, and administrative access is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
6. Children
The app is not directed at children. Adult categories from a provider's playlist are hidden by default.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your device's data by contacting us. Where required by law (e.g. GDPR/UK GDPR), we honour the applicable rights.
